Spend the day settling in, attending a trek briefing, and preparing for your upcoming adventure on the Tamang Heritage Trail. Optional activities include visiting some of Kathmandu’s cultural landmarks, such as Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, or the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Overnight: Hotel in Kathmandu

Day 2: Pokhara to Nayapul to Tikhedhunga/Ulleri

10 hours

Your adventure begins in Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region. A scenic drive of 1.5–2 hours takes you to Nayapul, where your trek officially starts. From here, you walk along traditional stone paths, crossing small streams and passing through lush farmlands and villages.

Day 3: Tikhedhunga/Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,860 m)

7 hours

A challenging but rewarding day awaits as you ascend through rhododendron forests and steep stone steps. The trek is lined with blossoming trees in spring, and the path passes through quaint Gurung villages. Trekking at a moderate pace gives you time to enjoy the panoramic views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare (Fishtail).

Day 4: Poon Hill Sunrise (3,210 m) to Tadapani to Ghandruk (1,940 m)

70 hours

Rise early (around 4:30 AM) for the iconic Poon Hill sunrise. Watch the first rays light up the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges—a moment many describe as magical. After sunrise, return to Ghorepani for breakfast, then descend through lush forests and terraced landscapes via Tadapani to reach Ghandruk, one of the most picturesque Gurung villages in Nepal.

Day 5: Ghandruk to Nayapul to Pokhara

6 hours

After breakfast, trek downhill to Nayapul, enjoying your last views of terraced hills and cascading streams. From Nayapul, drive back to Pokhara where your trek concludes. You can take the evening to relax by Phewa Lake or explore Pokhara’s charming lakeside cafés.
