The trek begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (1,470m), winding through the picturesque Trishuli River valleys and passing charming local villages. Upon arrival, you settle into a cozy teahouse for the night, preparing for the adventure ahead.
From Syabrubesi, the trek continues to Lama Hotel (2,380m). The trail follows the Langtang Khola, meandering through lush rhododendron and bamboo forests. Along the way, you may spot playful monkeys or even the elusive red panda. The day ends with a comfortable overnight stay in Lama Hotel.
The journey progresses from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m). It is a steady climb that offers your first breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung (7,227m). You arrive in the rebuilt Langtang Village, which showcases resilience and charm after the 2015 earthquake, and spend the night immersed in the alpine surroundings.
Trekking from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa (3,870m), you pass by traditional chortens, mani walls, and yak pastures. The village of Kyanjin Gompa offers spectacular views of Gangchempo and Langtang Lirung, providing a serene setting to explore the monastery and enjoy the high-altitude environment.
This acclimatization day at Kyanjin Gompa allows you to hike to either Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) or Tserko Ri (5,000m), rewarding you with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. You can also visit the local cheese factory and nearby monasteries, experiencing the culture and lifestyle of the Tamang community.
The trek begins its descent from Kyanjin Gompa back to Lama Hotel. As you retrace your steps, the scenery shifts from alpine meadows to forested valleys, offering ample opportunities to reflect on the beauty and tranquility of the Langtang region.
Continuing the descent, you trek from Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi, passing through dense forests and quaint villages. The journey allows you to enjoy the serene valley landscapes one last time before reaching the town of Syabrubesi for an overnight stay
The trek concludes with a drive back from Syabrubesi to Kathmandu. This scenic journey along the Trishuli River valleys marks the end of your unforgettable Langtang adventure, leaving memories of towering peaks, rich culture, and pristine natural beauty.
